Sr. Inspection Engineer

Job description

Physical inspection requiring climbing up, crawling through and walking on pressure vessels, storage tanks and piping either at the process plant or in fabrication shops.

Responsibilities

• Inspection Planning and Execution: Develop, review, and execute comprehensive inspection plans to ensure the integrity and reliability of plant assets.
• Technical Support and Advice: Provide expert inspection support and technical advice to Operations, Maintenance, Technology, Engineering, Projects, and MCP to maintain plant integrity and reliability.
• Inspection Scope of Work: Plan, prepare, and execute detailed inspection scopes of work to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
• Plant Integrity Assurance Manual: Review and update the Plant Integrity Assurance Manual with the latest inspection data and process changes to maintain plant integrity.
• Business Planning Support: Provide essential information and advice to support the development of a sound departmental business plan.
• Compliance and Team Leadership: Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices. Lead, motivate, develop, and assess the assigned team to achieve business objectives and enhance capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in maintenance and inspection of oil refinery or petrochemical facilities.
• Language Skills: Very good command of the English language.
• Computer Skills: Highly proficient in the use of personal computers (PC) for report writing (word processing), spreadsheets (Excel), and graphical presentation.
• Certifications: API 510 Certified, API 570 Certified (preferred). API 653 Certified (highly preferred).
